Theodore J. Adomanis, Board Chair
Milton, Ontario – Canada

Mr. Adomanis serves with Grace Brethren Canada, a position he has held since 2002.  Mr. Adomanis, a certified public accountant since 1979, formerly had worked for Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, Washington, D.C. in various management positions from 1978-2001, retiring as Special Assistant to the Deputy Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer.  Mr. Adomanis is Chairman of the Board of the Foundation.

 

James Augspurger
Worthington, Ohio

 Dr. Augspurger has been the Executive Pastor of the Grace Brethren Church of Columbus, Ohio since 1998.  Within the church, he has served as Deacon, Elder, Moderator, Finance Committee member, teacher and coach.  Prior to working at Grace, he managed his own dental practice for 25 years.

 

Joshua D. Balmer
Telford, Pennsylvania

Mr. Balmer is manager of the financial administration department of his family’s business, Penn Valley Gas in Telford, Pennsylvania, where he has been employed since 2002.

 

David H. Coleman
Powell, Ohio

Dr. Coleman is a staff member of Grace Brethren Church of Powell, Ohio, serving in the areas of church operations, financial management, facilities and ministry support staff, a position he has held since March 2002.  He formerly had worked in the employee benefits/insurance industry for 17 years in various management and executive level positions.

 

Ralph D. Hampton
Long Beach, California

Mr. Hampton is Church Administrator of Grace Brethren Church of Long Beach, California, a position he has held since 1988.

  

Robert MacMillan Jr.
Tracy, California

Rev. MacMillan is Senior Pastor of Tracy Grace Brethren Church in Tracy, California, a position he has held since 1990.

 

Howard W. Mayes
Winona Lake, Indiana

Dr. Mayes is retired as Senior Pastor of Clinton Grace Brethren Church in Clinton, Maryland, where he served from  1992 to 2009.

 

George S. Merchant
Upper Marlboro, MD

Mr. Merchange is the Director of Operations and Minister of Music at the Grace Brethren Church of Clinton, Maryland, a position he has held since 2008.  He formerly was a civilian professor at the Defense Acquisition University in Fort Belvoir, Virginia from 1987 to 2008.

 

Jerry W. Michael
Martinsburg, West Virginia 

Mr. Michael is President of IRSCompliance.org, a consulting company organized in 2005.  He retired as Chief of the Information Returns Branch of the Internal Revenue Service of the United States Department of the Treasury in 2004, having been employed by the IRS for 39 years. 

 

Dayne Nix
Monterey, California

Dr. Nix is a retired Navy Chaplain (Commander), serving from 1986 to 2008.  He is presently an Associate Professor at the Naval War College in Monterey, California.  Dr. Nix is a member of the Alexandria (VA) Grace Brethren Church.

 

James L. Poyner
Port Richey, Florida

Rev. Poyner is Senior Pastor of Gulfview Grace Brethren Church in Port Richey, Florida, a position he has held since 1981.

 

A. Kent Semple
Lewis Center, Ohio

Mr. Semple is a certified public accountant and works as Tax Manager for the Columbus, Ohio office of Mesarvey, Russell & Company, a position he has held since 1995.

 

Philip J. Sparling
Auburn, California

Rev. Sparling is Senior Pastor of Auburn Grace Community Church in Auburn, California, where he has been employed since 1991.

 

Richard C. Stair
Warsaw, Indiana

Mr. Stair is Senior Vice President, Global Operations and Logistics of Zimmer, Inc. in Warsaw, Indiana.  He has been employed by Zimmer, Inc. since 1986.
